4. Lead by Example
Leading by example is an age-old Maxim because it is true. If you stand behind your team with a whip, do not expect a strong, healthy Workforce.
Far better that you get out in front and show them by doing it yourself what needs to be done. This is something you need to commit to daily.
And you need to do it gently. If you are lazy, your colleagues will be lazy. If you are bad tempered your team will be bad tempered.
5. Communicate to Good Stuff
Part of a good leader is his ability to communicate effectively to his team. You need to communicate well, not only on corporate matters but also on the more social issues that exist within a team. Your team is not a tribe of automatons. They are real people with real life.
